Case file: AssegAi FX

AndersFX — Cointiverse forensic case file

Some operations earn a place on the Cointiverse map through victim reports; AssegAi FX arrived by regulator flag. Both routes end at the same coordinates: elevated risk.

Reading the coordinates

AssegAi FX claims to operate as a trading name of AssegAi FX (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa, and further states that it acts as a juristic representative of Elite Financial Services (Pty) Ltd, an entity licensed and regulated by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA). While we were able to locate Elite Financial Services (Pty) Ltd in the FSCA’s official register, the regulator does not publicly disclose authorized trading names, associated websites, or a comprehensive list of juristic representatives. More importantly, AssegAi FX itself is not directly regulated by the FSCA, and there is no evidence to substantiate its representation rights. Given these inconsistencies, we believe the broker’s claims are likely fabricated. Therefore, we consider AssegAi FX as a scam broker.

Red flags on the map

  • Appears on an official regulator or fraud-warning list
  • No verifiable licence for the jurisdictions it targets
  • Withdrawal friction: new fees or conditions appear at cash-out time
  • Aggressive outreach through social platforms and messaging apps
