SKANESTAS — case file

AndersFX — Cointiverse forensic case file

Some operations earn a place on the Cointiverse map through victim reports; SKANESTAS arrived by regulator flag. Both routes end at the same coordinates: elevated risk.

What the chart shows

SKANESTAS says it is regulated by ASIC in Australia with license number 488828. But when we checked, that license belongs to a company — STAR FUNDS MANAGEMENT PTY LTD — and its official website is www.starfunds.com.au . This is not the same as SKANESTAS. Using someone else’s license number is misleading and suspicious. SKANESTAS also claims to be regulated by the NFA and registered with FinCEN as an MSB. However, we searched both organizations’ databases and found no record of SKANESTAS being approved for any financial services. An MSB license is not a brokerage license and does not allow trading activities. Because of these serious issues, we believe SKANESTAS is very likely a fraudulent or unlicensed broker.

Red flags on the map

  • Aggressive outreach through social platforms and messaging apps
  • Dashboard balances that cannot be verified on-chain
  • Pressure to deposit more in order to unlock earlier deposits
  • Appears on an official regulator or fraud-warning list

If you have funds with SKANESTAS

Stop sending money immediately – especially any payment framed as a tax, unlock fee, or verification deposit. Preserve everything: transaction hashes, wallet addresses, receipts, chat logs and emails. The paper trail is what a recovery review runs on.
